Connecting to the market data for Poloniex does not require the user to have a Poloniex account.
In order to trade on Poloniex through Medved Trader, you need to:

Have a Poloniex account. If you don't have one, create it on the Poloniex web site. |

Create an API key for Medved Trader to use. To do that, log into your Poloniex account on the Poloniex web page, then click on the Tools icon at top right, and click on the API KEYS item in the sub-menu that pops up. Or just go to https://poloniex.com/apiKeys |

Create a new API key. It will ask you for your 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) verification code and will send you a confirmation email that you will have to click on. |

In order to have full functionality in Medved Trader, you have to select Enable Trading permission. Leave the Enable Withdrawals unchecked.
We recommend setting the trusted IP list ot the IP Addresses that you are expecting to run Medved Trader on. |
