Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to the www.medvedtrader.com website and Medved Trader software, and governs data collection and usage. By using the Medved Trader Software and/or website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site or subscribe, or use the Software.

Website interactions may include: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, or credit card information (as appropriate for orders/registration). You may visit our site anonymously.

Through the Software, to enable functionality, support, and improvements, we collect:

  • Connection and session data during login, software updates, downloads, and persistent connections (e.g., IP address, device identifiers, timestamps, and metadata from heartbeat signals to maintain the connection).
  • Diagnostic logs, which may include software usage details, error reports, system information, and anonymized usage metrics (with sensitive data such as account passwords automatically stripped out). Logs are collected when you choose to send them manually or when we request them via a secure server-initiated request for support purposes.
  • Anonymized persistent connection usage data (e.g., aggregated, non-identifiable metrics on feature interactions or connection patterns) to analyze and improve software performance.

We do not collect real-time trading data, personal financial information, or other sensitive content through these connections unless it is part of a diagnostic log upload for support.

What do we use your information for?

Any information we collect may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience and administer site & software features.
  • To improve our website and Software (based on feedback, usage patterns, and diagnostic data).
  • To improve customer service and provide support (including requesting and analyzing diagnostic logs to troubleshoot issues).
  • To process billing transactions.
  • To send periodic emails (e.g., updates, news; you can unsubscribe via links in emails).
  • For legitimate interests such as maintaining software functionality via persistent connections, detecting issues, and improving performance through anonymized usage data.

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason without your consent, except to deliver requested products/services or as required by law.

Software Connections and Data Transmission

The Software establishes secure connections to our servers for login, updates, downloads, and real-time functionality. This includes a persistent (always-on) connection that remains active while the Software is running, allowing us to send requests (such as for diagnostic logs) directly to your instance. These connections use encryption (e.g., TLS) to protect data in transit.

You cannot opt out of the persistent connection or server-initiated log requests, as they are essential to core Software features and support. Continued use of the Software constitutes your consent to these connections and transmissions. Diagnostic logs (stripped of sensitive info) are retained for up to 90 days for support purposes and then deleted.

How do we protect your information?

We implement security measures (including encryption for transmissions) to maintain the safety of your personal information. Sensitive/credit information is transmitted via SSL/TLS and handled securely by payment providers. After billing transactions, private information may be kept on file longer than 60 days for recurring billing if applicable.

Do we use cookies?

This website uses cookies only on a per-session basis or to maintain preferences. Cookies are not shared with third parties. You can decline cookies via browser settings, but this may limit interactive features.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell or trade personally identifiable information. We may share with trusted third parties assisting in operations (who agree to confidentiality) or when required by law, to enforce policies, or to protect rights/safety/property.
